(Plus a Photography Studio in Evansville, Indiana That Has Clothes You Can Borrow)

This is usually the point where things start to feel a little overwhelming. You’re standing in your room thinking….
“Do I need to go shopping?”
“Is this good enough?”
“Why does everything suddenly look wrong?”
Take a breath. You don’t need a whole new wardrobe.
Most of my seniors already have great pieces. If anything, I’d rather you show up with too much than not enough. We can always narrow things down. It’s a lot harder to build something out of nothing.
Let’s make this feel easy.
Start with what actually feels like you.
The best outfits are the ones that don’t feel forced.
Your favorite jeans.
That top you always reach for.
Something you’d actually wear and feel confident in.
If you feel like yourself, it shows. Every single time.
Variety is where it all comes together.
This is the biggest thing I guide people through. A lot of seniors show up with outfits that all feel the same.
For girls, it’s usually all dresses… all skirts… everything dressed up. For guys, it’s a handful of button ups that all look almost identical. We want a mix.
For guys, I love:
- A suit moment
- A real outfit you’d wear on a date
- Something that shows your personality

For girls, think:
- One outfit with a little drama or something fun
- One classic look like jeans and a cute top
- Something a little different or unexpected

That variety is what makes your photos feel interesting instead of repetitive.
Let’s talk about what doesn’t work. If something is too short or too tight, it’s going to limit you. You won’t be able to move, sit, or relax the way you need to. And when you feel restricted, it shows. We want outfits that look good and let you move naturally.
The details matter more than you think. Shoes. Jewelry. Layers. Texture. This is where outfits go from “this is cute” to “I love this.”And if you’re not sure how to pull it all together…You don’t have to.
Yes… you can borrow pieces from the Styled Closet. This is the part most people don’t expect. I have a closet at the studio for my girls that’s included in my Signature session as well as my Senior Express. It’s filled with pieces that photograph beautifully and add something extra you might not already have.

Think:
- Ruffled dresses
- Bright colors
- Sundresses
- Overalls
- A few sparkly, fun pieces
You can look through everything before your session so we’re not wasting time the day of. If something catches your eye, we can build around it or mix it into what you already have. It’s there to make things easier, not more complicated.
We’ll plan it before you ever step in front of the camera. A few days before your session, I’ll have you send me photos of your outfits.
From there, I help you:
- Narrow things down
- Make sure everything flows together
- Match outfits to locations
So when you show up, you’re not second guessing anything. You already know it works.
You don’t need a shopping spree. You just need a good mix, a little intention, and someone who knows how to pull it all together. Bring options. Bring personality. Bring something that feels like you. I’ll take care of the rest.
